Job Description

The Strategic Clients Delivery (PMO) team within the Client Services organization is at the core of Visa’s mission to be the best way to pay and be paid for everyone, everywhere. We deliver the holistic product strategy and accelerate the seamless integration of our products into global markets. We are fueled by a diverse team of talented team-members who continuously raise the bar on delivering best-in-class products and services worldwide.

As a Program Management Director, you will play a pivotal role in this dynamic team. You will be accountable for successful commercial launches of large complex programs. You will act as a trusted advisor to our Account Management teams, orchestrating and accelerating the delivery of Visa Products and Services through our Strategic Clients, including Big Techs, Fintechs, Merchants and Banks. Your strategic insight and leadership will be crucial in ensuring successful commercial launches, in close collaboration with internal Visa teams and key ecosystem partners.

Responsibilities

How you will make an impact:

  • Collaborate closely with Product leaders to structure and manage integrated, multi-track projects and programs that meet the business intent for Visa’s product strategies.
  • Take on a leadership role in operationalizing key program elements by meticulously defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering initiatives that often involve a wide array of internal and external stakeholders and matrix partners
  • Channel your passion for transformation by turning program intent into a cohesive, purpose-driven coalition, employing a structured approach to bring complex cross-functional efforts to fruition.
  • Provide clear direction, motivation, and unwavering support to program and project teams, inspiring your co-workers to achieve goals and strive for excellence.
  • Elevate organizational success by highlighting significant wins and challenges to your sponsors, enabling them to stay attuned to the organization’s pulse and effectively remove obstacles.
  • Proactively identify issues early, determine potential resolutions, allocate the right resources, communicate status updates, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead various program governance and inter-department forums, ensuring transparency by publishing periodic project status reports.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment navigating ambiguity successfully, most likely in product, product development, or large complex projects in a matrix organization
  • Self-motivated and highly driven. You have get-things-done DNA. You have an Agile mindset.
  • You are always learning and comfortable with constant change.
