RF Hardware & Systems Engineer

About the role

The successful candidate will perform leading research & development in the architecture and realization of micro- and millimeter-wave RF systems. The candidate will investigate and implement high-performance integrated hardware using existing and emerging technologies.

 

The candidate will work directly with other Nokia Bell Labs researchers and Nokia business units to define novel architectures, system analysis, design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of state-of-the-art hardware operating in the micro- and millimeter-wave spectrum.

The candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge and have hands-on expertise with RF hardware design and state-of-the-art RF measurement techniques in the lab.

The candidate must have experience with multilayer, mixed-signal PCB layout design and schematic capture.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the team’s Altium Designer Software project database.

The candidate must be able to work well within a larger team and possess strong interpersonal and presentation.

 

  • M.S.E.E. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of industry experience with expertise in radio and/or radar architectures and their specifications
  • Expertise in mmW/uW circuit design, simulation and analysis with EDA tools (ADS or AWR/MWO)
  • Advanced knowledge of RF test equipment and hands-on characterization of RF hardware and components in the lab

Nice to haves

  • System block level simulations experience with typical EDA software (SystemVue, AWR/VSS, etc)
  • Passive component design experience (splitters, couplers, filters, antennas, etc)
  • Experience with SI/PI tools
  • Test Equipment Automation
