About the role
What You'll Do:
- Leadership Role for CTI RWE team with responsibilities to include: business development, client interactions, developing research objectives and methodology for clients, participating in and overseeing projects, and leading and managing personnel.
- Provides leadership and strategic thinking in working directly with clients by providing input and guidance on RWE study designs and necessary data collection needs to meet the study objectives. This includes developing the scientific rationale and methodology for RWE studies as well as providing epidemiologic considerations into the statistical analysis of data. Studies include but are not limited to: prospective & retrospective site based studies, pragmatic trials, decentralized trials and existing secondary data only studies.
- Provides leadership and oversight in the development of study protocols, abstracts, white papers and/or manuscripts ensuring quality, timeliness, and completeness in client deliverables.
- Collaborates closely with a biostatistician and provides leadership and direction for ongoing data review from an epidemiologic standpoint as well as input into the interpretation of study results.
- Provides leadership and direction within RWE on the conduct of Health Economics and Outcome Research programs, including literature reviews, meta-analyses, large scale database and other clinical data analyses.
- Provides senior level leadership in the preparation and attendance at expert panels and advisory board meetings.
- Collaborates with RWE leadership on strategic planning and implementing RWE projects/studies.
- Assists in developing proposals, including scientific rationale, methodology, timelines, and budgets.
- Manages team members, directly or indirectly, including administrative, development and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and career development training.
- Collaborates with others to identify and develop partnerships with study sponsors, database companies, government entities, and academics.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of internal databases, warehouses, business intelligence (BI) systems, and data analysis tools, as appropriate to role.
- Collaborates with various CTI departments and team members.
- Identifies and conducts training for programs and staff as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- Masters (MS) in biostatistics, epidemiology, health outcomes research, health economics, public health, or other science related field, etc., or advanced certification (eg, CRP, PMP) in a related field or relevant career experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in clinical research (RWE/HEOR) design and epidemiology, preferably with pharmaceutical / biotech and/or business development experience (scientific role).
- PhD/PharmD/ScD in in biostatistics, epidemiology, health outcomes research, health economics, public health, etc. preferred
- Previous experience in conducting RWE studies in hospital setting, pharmaceutical company or CRO preferred
- At least 7 years managing direct and indirect reports, including researcher staff and project management staff, among others preferred
