Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Projects, Planning Coordinator (Turnarounds/Brownfield Projects).

Location: Venture Global Plaquemines Parish Liquefied Natural Gas (PLNG) facility in Point Celeste, Louisiana.

General Description:

The Operations Projects, Planning Coordinator reports to the Operations Projects, Manager (Turnaround/Capital Projects) and is responsible for the effective planning of all discipline activities for Turnaround/Brownfield Projects activities at Venture Global Plaquemines Liquefied Natural Gas (PLNG) facility. The Planning Coordinator is responsible for implementing an agreed Governance framework to support successful planning and execution of Turnaround/Brownfield Projects’ activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the adherence of Venture Global HSSE process and VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System) procedures, facilitating and coordinating efforts to plan the work that prevent or mitigate exposures to unsafe work conditions.
  • Strict adherence to VGLNG business controls, approved contracts/suppliers. Capture direct/indirect cost following required approval process to effectively monitor and control Turnaround & Brownfield budget expenditure.
  • Leads, facilitate and coordinates the Turnaround/Brownfield Projects Gate Process prior to planning or scheduling in accordance with the relevant Governance procedures. 
  • Leads, facilitates and coordinates risk based strategic and tactical Turnaround work selection and planning meetings, interfacing with turnaround stakeholders according to PLNG Turnaround Work Management process and procedures.
  • Facilitates coordination and consultation with turnaround stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Project, SCM, etc.) while leading the development of Turnaround/Brownfield work packages.
  • Supports Turnaround/Brownfield scheduler and site stakeholders to develop the integrated turnaround schedule, time compression and resource leveling analysis.
  • Perform quality checks of Turnaround/Brownfield work packages, to minimize equipment downtime and utilizes resources to a safe, efficient, and effective capacity level and identifies potential constraints/deficiencies that could impact work schedule and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensures Support Services resources (such as Scaffolding, Insulation, painting, etc.) are captured and planned in a coordinated matter with Turnaround/Brownfield planning counterparts, such as Turnaround/Brownfield Logistics Coordinator, and other business areas.
  • Ensures and audit planners in the identification of required turnaround material, parts, external resources, third party contract services, rental equipment, and tools. Monitors the initiation of procurement of planned parts and materials required for Turnaround/Brownfield Projects and tracks procurement status, flags areas of concern.
  • Works in close coordination and consultation with Supply Chain Management department for material and contract status/readiness.
  • Works in close coordination with Operations to identify and plan required Pre and post Turnaround work to support facility inventory and startup.
  • Support the development of turnaround cost estimates and classification according to PLNG Turnaround Work Management process and procedures.
  • Ensure utilization of Planning & Scheduling best practices, such as Planning norms for Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument works, as well Scaffolding, Painting norms, among others.
  • Capture Turnaround successes and improvement opportunities in a structured manner with a resolved implementation plan to support Lesson Learned identification and implementation program.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to junior peers and counterparts.
  • Comply with all regulatory and Company training requirements
  • Carries out other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum a high school diploma or GED. Technical degree, or a nationally recognized standard (such as NCCER) is preferred. 
  • PMP certification – or similar – is a plus.
  • Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
