About the Role

If you like solving complex IT problems using your deep analytical skills, this is the opportunity for you! As a Sr Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for cyber threat identification, evaluation, prioritization and remediation activities under the direction of the Cyber Security Manager. You'll continuously review existing and proposed changes to Sierra Space systems, networks, and software designs, and is responsible for analyzing logging and alerting data, identifying and escalating potential security events. The Cyber Security Analyst will partner with business users to support integration of cybersecurity protections into business operations, and will act as a key member of the incident response team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or 10 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and administering a variety of networks, OSs, and applications

  • Strong knowledge and experience administering a variety of current Microsoft platforms

  • Knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques

  • Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret security and technical documentation

  • Ability to perform critical incident detection and response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations

  • Experience with NIST Special Publications documents such as NIST 800-171 and implementing controls in complex aerospace environments

  • Experience securing a variety of networks, OSs, and applications in-line with current security standards and best practices

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH

  • Knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques

  • Experience with risk assessment and gap analysis whether it be related to compliance initiatives, systems security, application security, and network security

  • Proven track record of maintaining the confidentiality of high-sensitivity projects and data.

  • Strong understanding of SIEM architecture, log management, compliance reporting, and real-time security event correlation

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), preferred Exabeam

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with endpoint protection tools such as Microsoft Defender and/or Sentinel One

  • Demonstrated experience with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and/or NIST Cybersecurity Framework, including implementation and compliance monitoring
