Work with the same small group of students (no more than 6 students) throughout the school year on reading and math. Catapult Learning uses a proprietary scripted curriculum, so interventionists should follow the provided teacher lessons and use the resources provided. There is ongoing support and coaching provided by an Oahu-based Program Supervisor. Work with students to develop the foundational skills needed to succeed academically and catch back up to their peers. Activate Learning
- Customize targeted lesson plans using resources provided.
- Maximize instructional time, meeting student needs through pacing, wait time, and differentiation.
- Ensure the students’ educational environment clarifies learning goals and facilitates connections among lessons.
- Use data to scaffold and differentiate instruction.
- Engage students by establishing a clear purpose for learning, encouraging critical thinking, welcoming intellectual risk-taking, and fostering a growth mindset.
- Ensure students take ownership of their learning and their growth.
- Establish clear routines and procedures that set students up for success.
- Master new content in training sessions and demonstrate competency in content-area assessments.
- Receive direction and coaching to continuously improve your skills.
- Demonstrate eagerness for feedback and willingness to implement new methodologies.
- Establish and maintain accurate data that empowers analysis of the support we provide to students, including attendance data, academic data, student forms, and inventory of educational materials and supplies.
- Hourly Rate: $26 - 32

- High school diploma required
- Teaching and/or tutoring experience required.
- Bachelor's degree and teacher's license highly preferred.
- Able to implement evidence based reading and math intervention with students in small groups
- Can develop and implement individualized strategies for students in the intervention program
- Use scripted curriculum to deliver individualized skill-appropriate lessons
- Analyze and interpret reading and math data to support student needs
- Instructor will be assigned one group with students all within two years of age of each other e.g., one group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.
- Classroom/small setting experience
- Schedule varies based on school location
- Must understand that all children can learn.
- Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards internal and external customers.
- Must be flexible.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
