Location: John Page Middle School- Lamphere Schools
Work schedule: 7.5 hours/day Monday-Friday 6:00am-1:00pm
Pay Rate: $18.72/hr
Position Summary
Lamphere Schools is seeking a dependable, team-oriented Food Service Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for students and staff. This position supports daily kitchen operations, assists with food preparation and inventory, maintains food safety standards, and helps provide a positive dining experience for our school community.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to pass a required physical examination.
- Knowledge of commercial food preparation, sanitation, and food safety practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Essential Duties
- Prepare, cook, and serve breakfast and lunch following district menus and standardized recipes.
- Assist the Kitchen Manager with daily kitchen operations and oversee the kitchen in the Manager's absence.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Receive, organize, and rotate food inventory.
- Complete required production and temperature records.
- Set up, clean, and maintain kitchen and serving areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Assist with catering and special events as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

This position is contracted through EduStaff. Employment, payroll, and eligibility for any available benefits are administered by EduStaff.
Employment is contingent upon disclosure in accordance with PA-189.
Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with a strong record of consistent attendance.
