Senior Automation Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential Automation and Testing support, working primarily with Golang. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, test, and maintain our core banking platform, ensuring its robustness and scalability. Your expertise in automation, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices will be critical to our success.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Golang and Cucumber.
- Create and maintain comprehensive Godoc documentation for automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance the platform's performance and reliability.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the platform can handle high-volume transactions and traffic.
- Utilize AWS services and serverless tools to build and deploy scalable cloud-native solutions.
- Work with Kubernetes to manage containerized applications and ensure high availability.
- Write and maintain relational database queries (SQL) and ensure data integrity and performance.
- Implement and maintain DevOps practices using tools like Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.

 

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience in a production environment.
- Significant experience in developing web applications and automation scripts using Golang.
- Strong background in automation engineering and testing, with experience using Cucumber.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation with Godoc.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, particularly with Jenkins.
- Extensive experience with AWS (or Azure), including services like Kubernetes and serverless tools.
- Firm grasp of relational database fundamentals, with experience in SQL (PostgreSQL, mySQL, Microsoft SQL/TSQL, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Java is a plus.
- Experience working with large-scale cloud-native platforms.
- Experience in a financial services or banking environment.
