Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of demand planners to deliver plans for their assigned set of customers / brands.
• Drives a culture of excellence in analysis and execution while taking ownership of identified issues in demand planning to drive quantifiable solutions and positive business results
• Oversee and optimize a comprehensive demand planning strategy that aligns with business objectives, considering data, market trends, and customer insights.
• Lead the development of a process evolution from shipment to driver-based forecasting, leveraging consumption drivers as a key input.  Monitor and analyze market conditions, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to identify potential demand fluctuations and adjust forecasts accordingly.  Drive an independent demand perspective that’s provokes deep business understanding, aligns the organization and helps drive demand shaping tactics and business performance.
• Lead or have oversight of demand review meetings with stakeholders to present forecast updates, discuss key insights, address forecast-related issues, and make collaborative decisions while limiting bias.
• Leads monthly demand-supply reconciliation, S&OP / S&OE process, in collaboration with cross functional partners.  Leads the S&OP process by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Finance functions and ensures business leadership alignment of forecasts.   Key moderator to the Business Leadership Team (BLT) and the Executive S&OP discussions.
• Coordinate with the Supply & Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment between demand forecasts and procurement, production, and distribution plans.
• Creates systemic processes with in-depth retail analysis skills to deliver an agnostic view of shipment potential.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement technology-enabled improvements - such as demand sensing or other software and analytics tools - in every step of the monthly cycle to enhance accuracy of plans and efficiency of process.
• Play a lead role in blueprinting, designing, implementing and governing the demand planning tools within Kinaxis Rapid Response.
• Build and manage a high-performing team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support their growth and development.
• Directly responsible for the development, measurement and continuous improvement of; forecast error and bias, inventory/working capital, customer service, and distressed, aging and obsolete inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

BS/BA in related discipline such as Engineering, Operations/Supply Chain Mgmt required.  Masters preferred.

Certification:

APICS or IBF certification preferred

Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in CPG with significant and progressive experience in supply planning, demand planning and S&OP.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain planning strategies, techniques, processes and systems.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain, operations and logistics with an understanding of total supply chain management. 
• Excellent team leadership and organizational development skills, especially in highly technical organization
• Outstanding business acumen w/a comprehensive knowledge of CPG market dynamics.
• Excellent cross functional leadership, influencing and collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence 
• Action orientation and proven ability to achieve results
• Strong computer literacy and excellent working knowledge of value chain planning software, business intelligence systems and Excel.
