Senior Director, Compute Infrastructure

Providing reliable, scalable, and high performance compute infrastructure is a crucial aspect of Roblox's growth. Whether it's VMs, bare metal, or running containers — you will create and shape the engineering strategy, and partner with teams to define and support the next phase of Roblox private cloud infrastructure across core and edge deployments.

You Will:

• Shape a high performance engineering team with production engineering responsibilities
• Hire and develop senior engineers, managers, and leaders
• Create a culture and practice of and production excellence
• Partner with engineering peers to develop creative infrastructure solutions that create a cohesive and powerful private cloud platform
• Work with engineering and product teams across Roblox to make them successful

You Have:

• Experience building, supporting, and evolving reliable and at-scale distributed systems infrastructure
• Organizational dynamics; and people; and an adept hand with shaping an organization to meet our needs
• Experience developing technology to support private and public cloud infrastructure and services
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience building and shipping developer products and infrastructure

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.Annual Salary Range$440,190—$505,110 USD
