Job Description

Research Assistant (Temporary)

This position will assist in food science research, focusing on food analytical method development


 

What you’ll do in this position:

  • Procure Raman spectroscopy data on using DXR3 Raman microscope
  • Analyze spectral data using OMNIC and TQ Analyst software
  • Assist in the submission of a peer-reviewed research article

What qualifies you for this role:

Required:

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
  • Prior related research experience
  • Ability to conduct statistical analysis using specialized spectral software (e.g. TQ Analyst, MATLAB)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science

Pay Grade: 46

Compensation Range

Actual compensation based on education and experience

$16.05 - $20.84
