About the role

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Backend Developer, IT Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Backend Developer, IT Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires three (3) years of experience with the following: software development for financial institutions; customer management systems; developing with Java; resolving application dependencies using Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Hibernate, and WebFlux. Requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Kubernetes; Docker. Requires any amount of experience with the following: developing, debugging, and maintaining production-quality code; the software development lifecycle using Agile-Scrum methodologies, TDD, application resiliency, and security; interfacing with clients; working with distributed systems and Tomcat web servers; microservices architecture; cloud-native application development; developing in AWS Cloud, including ECS, EKS, MSK, Lambda, S3, and RDS Aurora; developing in the Cloud Foundry platform; working with Cassandra, SQL, Cockroach, and Postgres; developing and troubleshooting in a Linux environment; web service implementations using Rest, GraphQL, and SOAP; developing RESTful APIs and services for internal and external consumption using IDE tools IntelliJ; building and implementing messaging systems using RabbitMQ and Kafka; version control tools using Maven and Gradle; building pipelines using Terraform and Jenkins; using observability tools Dynatrace and Grafana; developing REST applications that support 3,000 or more TPS; developing software or a microservices environment that deploys as a REST API; designing and building telemetry and usage tracking solutions for BI tools to improve tool governance and monitoring; developing and automating large-scale, high-performance data processing systems to drive and improve product experience; building applications that utilize JSON formatted data files and service payloads for data transfer; performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow, and query optimization using languages SQL; utilizing techniques to process large data sets using data containers, multithreading, and multiprocessing; participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous integration processes using testing tools Cucumber and Junit; Automated Testing; System Integration Testing; Unit Testing.

Full-Time. Salary:  $175,600 - $185,000 per year.
