Job Summary:

Works alongside the CMO to strategically lead the health system toward clinical safety, quality outcomes, and value.
Cohesively optimizes the work of content experts within the department. Administers overall operation and business activity in department including but not limited to goal setting, personnel management and staff development, education program development, legal services and regulatory compliance, space management, academic and research needs, information systems, division financial management, contract management, data analysis and reporting. Builds and maintains department internal and external relationships, and initiatives of the academic/research and clinical missions.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

Degree (Bachelors or Master's) in Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field. Ten (10) years of strategic and operational experience along with progressively responsible management. Must have a proven track record of exemplary leadership in the healthcare industry.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, management, staff, and other customers. Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving issues. Comfortable operating in a complex matrix environment. Ability to effectively handle challenging situations and manage multiple priorities. Demonstrates ability to acquire understanding and absorb new information rapidly. Demonstrates low tolerance for mediocrity and exhibits conscientiousness and high sense of responsibility. Shows awareness of organizational culture and builds formal and informal networks to achieve goals. Acts as a catalyst for organizational change. Ability to use personal computer applications and knowledge of the electronic health record.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning and goal setting: works with the CMO to develop strategic priories toward our health system goals of zero harm and operational excellence.
  • Integrate the seven components of the CMO office (Accreditation, Data/Analytics, Infection Prevention, Medical Staff Services, Risk Management, Office of Operational Excellence, Workplace Violence) as a single entity to address safety, quality outcomes, and value.
  • In conjunction with the CMO, develops and implements short and long range organizational objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures. Works with CMO and department directors to develo
