Position Summary
The Collateral Defense Transition Specialist will facilitate the transfer of clients from other factors/lenders to Triumph, ensure legal compliance with audit requirements, review new account setups, complete Uniform Commercial Code filings, and verify that all approval conditions are met prior to funding.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Complete incoming buyouts – communicate with the incumbent factor, sales team, and operations team throughout the process to obtain all necessary documentation.
Obtain subordination agreements from other lenders (banks, equipment lenders, merchant cash advance lenders, etc.).
Obtain UCC terminations and release letters from other factors/lenders as necessary.
Review new client account setups for accuracy in Delta system.
File Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) statements with the Secretary of State offices (initial financing statements, termination statements, assignments, and amendments).
Review approval conditions and ensure that all have been met prior to funding.
Communicate with sales and operations teams regarding pending items needed for funding.
Maintain notes and records in Salesforce and Delta systems.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
1-3 years of experience in underwriting or risk analysis a plus.
Experience in transportation factoring is preferred.
Experience with Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), 3 years + experience.
Experience in financial services a plus.
Skills & Abilities Required
Demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently and as part of the team.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong professional communication skills.
