Job Description
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting for a full-time Food Service Worker 2 for the Café Verde located at the TMCC Dandini campus. * This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position is responsible for daily operations of the hot line in the Café Verde. This position prepares neat and attractive hot and cold meals, ensuring correct temperatures, using standard measures and approved recipes. Maintains a clean, organized cook station (grill, fry, prep, salad, etc.) with ingredients, tools, and utensils. Safely operates standard kitchen equipment and appliances. Assists with cleaning, sanitation, organization, and maintenance of kitchen coolers and food storage areas adhering to proper food handling and storage standards. Assists with ordering, inventory tasks, and dating and rotating of products. Works in a dynamic open-air kitchen. This position is responsible for ensuring a clean station as you go and after service.

Required Qualifications
This position requires two (2) years of experience in quantity food preparation and service; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. While on call on the rotation schedule, the emergencies can extend the working day for longer shifts/extended hours.
Compensation Grade
Grade 22 (Step 01, $18.69/hr)
