Job Description: As a Senior Counsel of HR and Compliance at ExtraHop, you will play a key role in advising the company on a wide range of employment law issues. You will be embedded in the HR organization to work directly with HR professionals, management teams, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. In addition to providing legal and compliance support, you will assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment and mitigate legal risks as the HR organization continues to build out its strategic initiatives, perform workforce management, and instill a world-class company culture.  This role will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer of the Company.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support on employment law matters, including hiring, performance management, termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, and employee benefits
• Review and draft employment-related agreements, policies, and handbooks
• Conduct internal investigations into allegations of misconduct and provide guidance on resolution
• Represent the company in administrative proceedings and litigation, including EEOC charges, wage claims, and employment-related disputes
• Collaborate with HR and management teams to develop training programs and initiatives to promote compliance and prevent legal issues
• Stay abreast of changes in employment law and regulations and provide updates and training to relevant stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing
• 8+ years of experience practicing employment law, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Solid experience partnering with a broad range of HR teams, preferably including the prioritization, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct

$149,000- $199,000 + benefits+ options
