Our workplace is enriched by diverse perspectives and teamwork across cultures.</p><p><strong>Role, Purpose & Impact</strong></p><p>We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain our cloud-based, real-time data infrastructure. You’ll contribute to scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power our streaming, processing, and analytics platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions for critical business needs.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p><ul>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using C# / .NET Core.</li>
<li>Build and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS (or other major cloud platforms).</li>
<li>Architect, implement, and maintain real-time data streaming pipelines using Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, or similar technologies.</li>
<li>Integrate streaming pipelines with internal systems such as databases, APIs, and data lakes.</li>
<li>Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, DevOps, and other teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.</li>
<li>Ensure high availability, performance, and security of distributed cloud systems.</li>
<li>Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Create and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation for services, APIs, data flows, and architectural components.</li>
</ul><p><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></p><ul>
<li>Several years of backend engineering experience (e.g., 4+ years) with a focus on C# / .NET Core.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, including key services (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda, IAM, Kinesis, etc).</li>
<li>Practical experience with streaming platforms (Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, or related).</li>
<li>Good understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.</li>
<li>Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes or similar), and general DevOps concepts.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.</li>
</ul><p><strong>Nice-to-Have</strong></p><ul>
<li>Experience contributing to or improving CI/CD pipelines, automation, or infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).</li>
<li>Frontend experience with modern frameworks, especially Angular.</li>
<li>Monitoring, logging, and observability knowledge for distributed cloud systems.</li>
<li>Understanding of cloud and streaming security best practices.</li>
<li>Experience with ETL pipelines, data frameworks, and additional programming languages.</li>

About the office(s)<br/></strong>In this role you will be working in Vesterbro in the heart of Copenhagen. This is Queue-it’s largest office and global headquarters. Our space is designed to support both collaboration and focus, with an open-plan layout, quiet rooms, and dedicated areas for deep work. For fun and downtime, we have a ping pong table, foosball, and regular social activities. You’ll also enjoy daily snacks, fresh fruit, great coffee, and access to a subsidized canteen in the building.</p>
