Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently recruiting for a Solutions Architect to help lead our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville area).  

The SA (Solutions Architect) is responsible for understanding internal and external customer needs, and designing modern Data and Events driven software solutions that allow Ingram customers to implement systems for their technology business applications.  This involves designing Enterprise solutions with end-to-end engineering as focus, analysis and planning to implement a solution that will meet business needs within financial budget guidelines.  As a technical expert, the SA often provides core technology and code guidance and makes decisions on changes required throughout the design and development process which. This may also include initial development along with the team of engineers to establish patterns and standards.  Using the technical expertise, the SA evaluates and adopts modern technology options like Microservices. The SA builds solutions around the technology options to create efficiencies in the SDLC. Along with design and development, the SA reviews and analyzes current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of experience working in an IT Department with track record of increasing responsibility.
  • 5 years of experience working as an Architect, Senior Developer and/or a Development Manager.
  • 5 years of experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL or any database in addition other than SQL Server

We have a preference for:

  • Ability to develop SPA applications using ReactJS/AngularJS and NodeJS OR .NET Core.
  • Knowledge of .NET 6+ and .NET Core.

The Solutions Architect’s key responsibilities are:

  • Design Event-Driven solutions to modernize data and systems integrations for real-time and streams-based communication.
  • Design Business-Driven data pipelines using full-stack technology options and large data volume solutions.
  • Architects and designs SOA, API and Microservices based solutions to support enterprise applications and corresponding integrations.
  • Produces architecture and design documents and diagrams.
  • Delves into issues with the system where the development and infrastructure teams have trouble solving.
  • Research software and hardware products or services and finds the best solutions and prices to meet business requirements.
  • Implement strategies around building Rules Based software solutions including but, not limited to exposing rules design for the business counterparts.
  • Minimizes the amount of code the developers need to write. Creates POCs and ensures a prototype solution works for the team to follow it.
  • Works with all departments within an organization to assist in the improvement of business processes, testing systems to ensure functionality is satisfactory and recommending new systems or product upgrades.
  • Works with Business Analysts to refine business, functional and non-functional requirements and then assures that the architecture and design of a solution meet said requirements.
