About the role

At Wisk, we're transforming the future of urban mobility through safe, all-electric, autonomous flight. We are a passionate team working together toward a sustainable future, solving high-impact problems that have never been solved before. By delivering everyday flight for everyone, we're making it possible to spend less time getting there and more time being there. If you want to be part of shaping the future of mobility, then read on!

We are looking for a Senior Staff System Test Engineer to join our team. The goal of a Senior Staff System Test Engineer at Wisk is to ensure that R&D projects reach their goals and set us up for future success. You will be part of the Advanced Research and Development team that focuses on the following key areas: flight test of autonomy technologies, new propulsion systems, advanced concepts.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.

Why we need you:

With that vision in mind, we are looking for a Senior Staff System Test Engineer to join our Advanced Research and Development team. The goal of the Senior Staff System Test Engineer at Wisk is to create project plans with team leaders: including objectives, results, impact, resources, and schedules. Aid in the execution of those projects: write code, turn wrenches, build harnesses, analyze data, fix stuff, and document results. Coordinate efforts with functional and project team leads. Communicate progress, opportunities, blockers, and status to the R&D Sr. Manager, CTO, and other leaders as required. Encourage the team to work across boundaries, and get things done.

We are looking for team members who can drive the appropriate amount of process and rigor to learn quickly, and capture the results to build the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment.

In this role, the candidate must be self-motivated with a strong bias for action, compassion, inclusivity, and excellent problem solving skills across multidisciplinary skill sets. You're a "hands-on" leader. You get things done. You drive alignment, clarity, focus and accountability, and marshal people and resources to accomplish the goal. You seek feedback, ask great questions, and are honest about what you know and don’t. You love trying something new even if you know it might not work.
