Logan Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at Brendan House, our 110-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Kalispell, MT.

Located in the heart of Kalispell, Logan Health Brendan House provides a continuum of skilled and long-term care for residents across the Flathead Valley. The Role
As Director of Nursing, you will:
Mentor and support a team that includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Resident Care Managers, scheduler, Social Workers, and more.
Lead daily clinical operations and oversee nursing care delivery across all units.
Guide quality improvement initiatives, survey readiness, and plan of correction development.
Partner with interdisciplinary leaders across the system to support patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and a culture of excellence.
Collaborate closely with the Nursing Home Administrator, Medical Director, and system-level support teams (Infection Prevention, HR, Education, IT, Plant Ops, and others).
What You’ll Need
Current RN license in Montana or multistate compact license required.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years’ leadership experience required.
Demonstrated expertise in:
CMS regulations and survey readiness
QAPI initiatives and quality strategy execution
Coaching, conflict resolution, and team engagement
Montana LTC regulations and patient-centered care best practices
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification
Long-Term Care (LTC) experience, including recent experience as a Director of Nursing or in senior leadership.
Experience with MDS completion and advisory councils
Familiarity with EMRs: PCC, Meditech, CareTracker
Understanding of HRIS systems such as Workday and scheduling platforms like API

Shared on-call rotation (every 5th weekend) with Resident Care Managers
Business casual attire or scrubs when in clinical settings

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)Schedule:
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
