We are seeking a compassionate, dependable individual to provide respite care for a bright, energetic young girl with autism and ADHD. This part-time role goes beyond basic supervision—it’s an opportunity to mentor and guide her as she builds confidence, independence, and practical life skills.
As a Respite Care Provider, you will work closely with the child in her home, supporting engaging routines and hands-on learning experiences that foster growth in a safe, nurturing environment. Location: Care provided in the child’s homeCompensation: $18.42/hourSchedule: Flexible, arranged in advance with parent/guardian Key Responsibilities• Provide 1:1 supervision in a safe, supportive environment.• Assist and teach daily living skills, including hygiene routines, meal preparation, and light household tasks.• Support the child in gaining independence using positive reinforcement and step-by-step guidance.• Encourage social-emotional growth through structured play, consistent routines, and engagement.• Build a warm, trusting relationship with the child.• Maintain open communication with the family to share progress and insights.
Qualifications & Skills• Experience supporting children with disabilities or neurodiverse needs (autism and/or ADHD preferred).• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and consistency.• Ability to follow and adapt individualized care plans.• Comfortable teaching and encouraging life skills in a structured, step-by-step manner.• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Requirements• Must pass a caregiver background check.• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.• Strong communication and time management skills.• Passion for working with youth and making a meaningful impact.
