The Department of Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism Management (RHTM), in the College of

Education, Health and Human Sciences (CEHHS) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville

(UTK) seeks applications for a 9-month, Clinical Instructor in the Retail and Merchandising Management program. The position start date is January 1 or August 1, 2025. This is a non-tenure track, nine-month position with a salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•       A master’s degree in retail, fashion merchandising and/or marketing, or a closely related discipline by the time of      application

•       Evidence of quality teaching in face-to-face and online classes at an accredited post-secondary institution

•       Proven record of teaching a variety of topics in retail, merchandising, and/or fashion management

•       Effective communication and interpersonal skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•       Evidence of effective and innovative course development and instruction at the post-secondary level

•       Progressive managerial experience in the retail or fashion industry
