Job Summary
The Material Handler performs all functions needed to ensure the accuracy of inventory. The position is responsible for ensuring that the proper quantities are issued to production as well as returned to the warehouse/dispensing area. This position involves a range of responsibilities to ensure the seamless supply and flow of materials, contributing to the achievement of expected production rates.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for distribution of raw materials to the Production team
- Ensures that accurate information is entered into Oracle ERP system for all material transactions
- Manage all inventory returns to the warehouse/dispensary area, ensuring inventory accuracy upon return
- Initiate root cause analysis investigation when incorrect quantities are received on items being returned from production
- Performs cycle counts, to ensure inventory accuracy
- Reconciles and communicates inventory discrepancies
- Provides root cause analysis on all inventory discrepancies
- Accurately documents GMP-related forms and performs Oracle transactions to maintain accurate records of material handling processes.
- Conducts audit of materials to ensure transactions are completed both physically and in our Oracle ERP system
- Reviews daily inventory records and transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity of data
- Works with Warehouse/Production staff to ensure FEFO is followed and enforced
- Notifies Logistics Manager of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
- Performs other duties and assumes responsibilities as appropriate or assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in inventory Control
- Experience with ERP systems is required. Oracle experience preferred
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience in a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and exercise sound business judgment with critical thinking skills and high ethical standards while being a team player.
- Must be available to work overtime as required.
