The Role

We are looking for a dynamic web engineer to create the next generation of Moderna tools and experiences for patients and health care professionals. As part of the role, you will work closely with designers, product teams, and engineers to develop, maintain, and evolve Moderna’s primary digital properties, including modernatx.com.

You will report to our Executive Director of Marketing and Acquisition Platforms. This is a hybrid role so there’s an expectation of working in our Seattle office 2-3 days a week.

Here’s What You’ll Do

• Contribute to many different projects in a dynamic, fast-moving, agile environment.

• Work closely with product owners to understand business needs and design solutions.

• Develop innovative and intuitive full-stack TypeScript/JavaScript web applications as part of a team to transform business processes.

• Deploy and improve applications in a constantly evolving Cloud environment.

• Monitor and analyze application performance, resilience, and effectiveness.

• Integrate applications with various systems to drive automation and analytics.

• Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Computer Science/Engineering preferred) or equivalent with 4+ years of job relevant experience.

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS

• Experience with HTML, CSS

• Experience with React

• Experience with AWS 

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience writing scripts and tooling for CI/CD.

• Experience integrating testing using Cypress, Playwright, TestCafe or Puppeteer.

• Experience working in Storybook.

Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description.  Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $120,500 to $193,000 ​. Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.  Compensation decisions are made on the facts and circumstances of each case.
