About the role
Minimum qualifications:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA).
- 15 years of professional experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in accounting or controllership, within a large, multinational public company in the technology or telecommunications sector.
- Experience managing large, diverse, pan-regional teams.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with specific expertise in accounting for fixed assets, revenue recognition, and lease accounting.
- Understanding of financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and experience with financial data analysis and modeling.
- Ability to partner effectively with and influence executive, non-finance business leaders. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into actionable business guidance.

- Lead and manage all accounting and controllership functions for Google's International Cloud and Technology Infrastructure, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.
- Establish and maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard the company's infrastructure assets, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies as well as external obligations.
- Be a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters related to technology infrastructure and revenue recognition, including capital expenditures, depreciation, asset retirement obligations, and complex lease accounting.
- Partner with the business to land geo-expansion structures in line with global and international policy. Connect business strategy, activities, and operations to market controllers.
- Manage business agreements, new markets, new legal entities, and regulatory requirements, complex accounting, and new systems and processes, keeping up with the volume and pace of expansion, and advising on complexity and customization.
