ROLE OVERVIEW
The Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting will participate in technical accounting, both in drafting memos to memorialize conclusions and in discussions around various accounting topics. In addition, you will assist with drafting periodic SEC filings, including Form 10-K and Form 10-Qs. You will also collaborate with other teams within the Finance and Accounting departments to provide US GAAP accounting and reporting guidance.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000/annually
RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft, with timely and accurate preparation, external financial reports, including those filed with the SEC on Form 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K, ensuring financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.
Assist with preparation and review of supporting schedules and prepare the tie-out support package for the external financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.
Draft technical accounting memos to support LifeStance’s position on complex technical accounting matters including, but not limited to, stock-based compensation, debt, business combinations, revenue, and leases.
Assist with the accounting for equity awards, including preparing journal entries, and preparation of the related equity schedules for the consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
Research and answer financial and accounting questions.
Monitor emerging accounting pronouncements, assist in the evaluation of the impacts, and assist in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements, as needed.
Participate in the preparation of financial reporting controls documentation in compliance with SOX requirements.
Collaborate with other teams within the Finance and Accounting departments.
Assist in facilitating annual internal and external audits including preparation of required schedules, providing requested backup, and walking auditors through processes, as needed.
Assist with other projects and initiatives on an ad hoc basis as needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA, or other relevant certification, is preferred.
