This position’s headquarters is negotiable within Broward, Citrus, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Okeechobee, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, and St. Lucie County.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional experience; or

 

A master's degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional experience; or

 

A doctorate from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional experience; or

 

Four (4) years of combined experience as a Sanitation and Safety Specialist, Environmental Specialist I or higher with the State of Florida; or

 

Five (5) years of professional experience in regulatory compliance, public health, environmental health, agriculture, food safety, quality assurance, or program administration.

 

Professional experience in environmental protection, food safety regulation, public health, agriculture, or related fields may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
