By joining our Equipment Section as a Transportation Auto/Truck Technician I, you’ll have the opportunity to complete preventive maintenance and initiate equipment repairs in the Equipment Section in Grant County.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Maintains automotive vehicles and equipment by repairing, adjusting or replacing batteries, performing tune-ups, replacing and adjusting head and taillights, checking fluids and lubricants, changing filters and belts,changing, repairing and rotating tires, checking tire pressure.
- Operates tools and machinery in the repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles and equipment.
- Inspects and analyzes automotive vehicles and equipment for repairs and service.
- Mechanic experience
- Experience in completing repair and service reports
- Automotive and truck repair experience
- Maintenance of equipment and autos and trucks

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Must have two years of automotive/equipment/truck repair technical experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Vocational or technical school training in automotive/truck repair or a related area will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
