Who We’re Looking For
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Product team and the teams they work with. The Business Analyst will perform regular data, product, and process analysis that contributes to key decisions and prioritization choices. This role will work collaboratively across multiple teams within the organization.
What You’ll Accomplish
You are an experienced Business Analyst that thrives on using data to help teams make the right decisions. You understand what it takes to work with data and turn it into meaningful information that can be communicated back to the business. You are highly collaborative and know that your insights have a tangible impact on user experiences. You understand that small daily actions lead to big, long-term wins.
- Analyze data in ways that deliver new insights into the way we think about our projects and overall business
- Create reports that communicate key insights and findings to the product team and other stakeholders
- Work with Product Managers to help inform roadmap planning and key project decisions
- Write SQL queries and use other data gathering skills that can support the product team with KPIs and other needed metrics
- Make complex data requests to teams with clear and concise tickets
- Collaborate with Marketing, UX, CS, Engineering and other teams on product and user research efforts
- Provide analytical support to better understand opportunities that we can invest in with prospective and existing tools and partners
- Work with Product Operations Manager to identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency within our processes
- Evaluate and document product workflows as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What You’ll Contribute
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years related work experience.
- Professional certification preferred, e.g. CSPO, Project Management, software development methodologies (Scrum, Agile, Lean, etc.)
- Experience using Product Development tools (Atlassian suite preferred--Jira, Trello, and Confluence)
- Demonstrated skill with data querying and/or analysis. (e.g. SQL, analytics tools, and/or advanced spreadsheet skills). Must be able to write SQL queries
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Project management experience preferred
- Understands agile principles and drives iterative processes
