Buyer, Indirect (Chemical Manufacturing, SAP/ERP)

<ul> <li>Sourcing, negotiating, and buying of materials, and services to meet the company’s operational requirements, considering prices, quality, and delivery, and to ensure continuity of supply.</li> <li>Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.</li> <li>Act as an interface between suppliers and relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.</li> <li>Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers, provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.</li> <li>Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.</li> <li>To ensure appropriate inventory always to meet our production needs.</li> <li>Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings and procurement best practice tools and methods.</li> <li>Prepare and raise Purchase orders.</li> <li>Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, prepare updates and reports as and when required.</li> <li>Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts process if any.</li> <li>Aim to acquire the best possible deal on materials/suppliers by sourcing alternative materials/suppliers.</li> <li>Maintain system integrity of suppliers' information in the ERP system, including new supplier set-up, items suppliers connect, purchasing agreements, and supplier basic data like minimum order quantity, order multiple, responsible purchaser, procurement group, and supplier maintenance.</li> <li>To audit supplier supply capability and quality standards when required.
