As a Senior Test Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing and conducting testing, including environmental, vibration, and acceptance, to validate designs for new product qualification, engineering evaluations, and failure investigations. You will also be responsible for managing test equipment systems, including the physical and virtual setup of test equipment, and supporting the design of new test stands. Communication with internal stakeholders regarding ongoing testing efforts and the implementation of test engineering best practices will be essential in this role.
What You Will Do
- Oversight and conducting environmental testing to validate designs for the purposes of new product qualification, engineering evaluations, and failure investigations.
- Primarily responsible for test equipment system and management which includes physical and virtual setup of the test equipment (writing software that operates/integrates test equipment into a system) and designing new test stands.
- Communicate status of ongoing testing efforts with internal customers.
- Implement test engineering best practices to ensure testing is performed accurately, on schedule, and within planned budget.
- Solder and rework electrical components for research and development purposes, or to repair/build test equipment.
- Review and provide feedback to engineering regarding test procedures and setups for future improvement of test methods.
- Work within the Engineering IPT to design, develop, and implement testing procedures for testing Interiors Products (full systems and component level equipment).
- Write/revise/implement process documentation for the test facility, including test methods documentation as needed.
- Equipment error/fault troubleshooting and management.
- Equipment calibration and calibration issue disposition, as needed.
- Data reduction, analysis, and some report writing.
- Analyze test data real time and post-test to validate requirements have been met.
- Responsible for 5S and organization of the lab environment.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting signal conditioners and data acquisition system hardware and writing test equipment software such as LabView, Agilent/Keysight, or equivalent.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience analyzing, interpreting, and recording test data for multiple testing platforms.
- Prior use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, frequency counters, digital oscilloscopes, power measurement equipment, and special avionic test equipment to support environmental testing.
