VIC the PICC (“VTP”) is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized General Ledger Accountant to put their knowledge and experience to work for a well-established private equity-backed company. This position will work alongside the Corporate Controller to perform monthly close responsibilities, tasks relating to the external audit, and other ad hoc duties.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare necessary information for accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with GAAP standards
- Complete Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Calculate commissions and bonuses
- Accurately record accruals for multiple accounts, including Accounts Payable, Workers Comp, and Interest Expense
- Accurately calculate and record amortization of prepaid expenses
- Record daily cash transactions
- Perform other finance duties as required to support the growing business and its operational needs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and systems
- Gather information as necessary for auditors
- Prepare ad hoc reports to support the Controller
- Complete special projects as assigned by Controller
Required/Preferred skills:
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Maintain electronic files and databases
- Show good judgement and initiative to address and correct problem issues relating to the scope of work performed in the accounting department
- Demonstrated skills in effective cross-team collaboration (e.g. marketing, operations, customer service, billing)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
- Advanced MS Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables (Preferred)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work without daily direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time
Minimum experience required: 2+ years of bookkeeping and/or general ledger experience
Minimum education required: Associates degree in Accounting
Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
