About the role

Reporting to the Base Operations Manager, required to perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks with minimum supervision. Will perform any tasks assigned by the Lead Base Facility Maintenance Worker assigned to the base. Jobs will include but not limited to managing the fuel system, maintaining cleanliness of aircraft (both interior and exterior), some janitorial duties and maintain base
equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Daily:

  • Manage fuel systems following company fuel system procedures to include receiving of fuel delivery to replenish base fuel tanks. (See "Fuel Management Manual") Note: Fuel Handler Training Record must be current and on file at base.
  • Vacuum offices and customer waiting area.

Weekly:

  • Wash company truck and clean interior.
  • Check oil and fluids on company truck and service as needed.
  • Check oil on tractor and fill gas tank.
  • Mow grass at base and weed-eat as needed.

Monthly:

  • Service all base power equipment, i.e. mowers, trimmers, air compressors. Replace or repair any defective items.
  • Inspect all fire extinguishers in building, hangar, and on flight line for serviceability.
  • Inspect all first aid kits for contents and expired items.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Base Operations Manager.

This checklist may be modified as conditions or requirements of the base change

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of PHI experience preferred
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a CDL and TWIC card.
  • Strong mechanical abilities

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, knell, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and work with explosives.
