Excelity is seeking a Systems Administrator for a project responsible for building the next generation Mission Application Systems for an exciting Government customer with a very critical mission. The candidate will work with the engineering team and customer to ensure successful development of high profile, complex, technical deliverables that are core to the continued success of our award-winning projects. 

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly

Responsibilities:

• Update and maintenance of Automated Deployment project using Ansible and Terraform
• Weekly security patching using IaC
• Resolving Jupyter, and general cluster, issues
• Maintainer of the “Spreadsheet to Terraform files” script for provisioning environments for Development Teams
• Manage account requests and maintain access list
• Configuration, Setup, roll-out, and maintenance of the Kubernetes deployment of Jupyter on AAP PROD

Required Skills:

• Experience Bash scripting
• Experience with debugging code
• Background with task tracking and knowledge management systems. Ex: Jira, Confluence, Gitlab
• Experience with version control systems and Infrastructure as Code practice
• Experience with object-oriented and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby, Java, and/or Go
• Experience with Splunk or other logging software
• Experience with Docker containers and container management using Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
• Basic knowledge of Networking (DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, CIDR Notation, etc.)
• Use of SSH and command line tools to manage systems
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS or similar distribution 
• Security+ or CISSP (Privileged User Access required)
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an additional 4 years of experience without a degree
• Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI poly

Desired Skills:

• UNIX operating systems administration and troubleshooting
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows
• Experience with automated configuration and infrastructure management tools: Ansible and Terraform
• Basic knowledge of Virtualization and Physical/Virtual Hardware/Right Sizing
