Job Description:

This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct commercial banking data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.

Responsibilities:

Global Payments Solutions (GPS) is enhancing its data management capabilities. This includes executing a strong data strategy and architecture program. This role will play a pivotal part in driving these enhancements and their ongoing sustainment. The role requires a strategic approach to managing the risk and business enablement priorities from data perspective. It also requires partnering with stakeholders in GPS and the rest of the Enterprise to support business and product strategy from data perspective, drive regulatory adherence, strengthen frameworks for data architecture, enhance operational excellence and meet GPS goal to be the best-in-class. The role covers key data management pillars – implementing a balanced data strategy for the business, developing and governing data domains, designing and delivering a strong controls program and supporting GPS business, product, operations, and technology leaders in making informed decisions.

  • Drives critical data strategy & initiatives for key GPS data domains. Executes programs for successful implementation and sustainability
  • Transforms GPS data strategy into executable plans and oversee completion. Adapts strategy according to near-term priorities and long-term roadmap
  • Documents, owns and executes the data strategy and architecture oversight process for key GPS data domains
  • Engages with key business, operations, and technology stakeholders for GPS data domains 
  • Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often in partnership with Technology 
  • Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
  • Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
  • Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
  • Builds and executes data strategy that enables the business
  • Governs and Manage data including driving adoption of enterprise data management policies and standards across GTS including for fit-for-purpose for Regulatory Reporting and other critical data uses; facilitating and providing governance and oversight of GTS data incidents; active engagement and support of enterprise data testing effort; active engagement of enterprise data initiatives and support of internal/external regulatory and audit exams and issues; and more.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in similar Data Strategy, Data Management, or Data Projects Leadership roles driving data strategy, managing stakeholders and/or providing oversight on complex technology transformation.
  • Experience with dealing with complexity of global data issues and regulations.
  • Strong leadership qualities and result driven approach
  • Ability to drive adoption of and adherence to internal data management policies and standards (i.e. Enterprise Data Management and Global Records Management)
  • Heavy experience and accountability with buildin
