Senior Software Engineer - Consumer Platform

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is excited about creating innovative solutions to make life effortless for our customers! As a Senior Software Engineer on the Consumer team, your primary responsibility will be to build services and solutions in a team environment where good work will improve our customers’ lives by giving them precious time back in their day during their shopping experience. The right candidate will have the technical aptitude to drive good technology choices through collaboration with the product, engineering and stakeholders across the company. Success in this role will be measured by the team’s effective delivery of services, making the design tradeoffs, mentoring other engineers on the team, and rolling up the sleeves to code.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 7+ Years of production experience
• Demonstrated success working in and promoting a rapidly changing, collaborative, and iterative product development environment
• Proficiency with modern web and backend technologies and services
• Good sense of high quality code and design patterns
• Ability to write scalable and extensible systems

You will:

• Promote and support Gopuff Engineering’s culture of inclusion and diversity
• Participate in cross-functional projects in an Agile environment
• Build, deploy, write automated tests, and maintain your code
• Support standard development practices across your team, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns
• Implement and monitor the health and status of your implementation
• Provide code review and design feedback to peers
• Document and present your work in design review sessions or demo sessions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices and /or distributed systems
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with Automated Testing Infrastructures
• Highly experienced with at least one of Java or Golang languages in a production setting
• Experience with Typescript and node in a production setting
• Experience with Web Front End and React Native
• Public cloud experience in a production setting (Azure preferred)
• Experience with Dockers, Kubernetes, Datadog

Compensation:

• Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. • Salary Range (varies based on a cost of labor index for geographic area within United States): $148,200 - $235,500
