Job Title: Business Processes Principal Consultant 

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Principal Consultant in Newtown Square, PA to drive business consulting by translating the customer's vision into solutions.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Map business processes to solution requirements. Position disruptive business innovation and support the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Drive change management to achieve business transformation objectives. Support end-to-end solution design and configuration across all relevant solutions (on-premise, cloud and hybrid), applying state-of-the-art methodologies and standards. Participate in transition planning of customer solution landscapes. Drive deployment of best practice business processes for specific LoBs or industries. Support pre-sales activities. Perform solution reviews and feasibility studies. Support escalated projects. Occasionally take over responsibility as a (sub-)project lead or team lead for a service delivery. Support line manager(s) in people development tasks. Deliver customer workshops and training. Support in partner-led projects to ensure ecosystem and customer success. Introduce SAP and industry leading practices based on pre-existing templates, standard content and experience. Drive the evolution of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas. Can be owner of a service and/or initiates updates to the portfolio. Drives the creation of templates, common practices and supporting service delivery artifacts to optimize business processes. Mentors business process consultants.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve five (5) years in the following: 

• SAP Project System (PS) and SAP Investment Management (IM); 

• SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Portfolio & Project Management (EPPM), SAP Commercial Project Management (CPM), and SAP Multiresource Scheduling (MRS);  

• SAP ABAP Programming and Performance Analysis and SAP Solution Manager; 

• Critical customer management, root cause analysis, and debugging of complex technical issues in SAP solutions; and 

• End-to-End solution design review assessments. 

 

Travel: Position requires up to 20% domestic and international travel to various and unanticipated client sites.
