We’re creating flexible and powerful solutions that our customers will leverage to ship their software as quickly, easily, and safely as possible.</p> <p>The Object Storage Team supports the operations and development of business logic, middleware, edge, and API solutions of our S3-compatible object store, Spaces. We are looking for an engineer who will help lead the development and support of current and future storage platforms at scale.</p> <p>The selected candidate will have the opportunity to make impactful contributions to the Spaces service ecosystem, contribute to the open source community, and debug interesting problems at cloudscale. This role reports to the Engineering Manager of the Object Storage team and is currently only available remotely.&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>What You’ll Be Doing:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Leading engineering efforts to deliver innovative storage solutions</li> <li>Supporting the creation and operations of distributed systems</li> <li>Programming in Go and other languages</li> <li>Collaborating with a motivated team of peers</li> <li>Consuming from and contributing to free/open source software communities</li> <li>Solving interesting problems in a technically rewarding environment</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Design, develop, test, and deploy software in modern tools and languages, such as Go, while continually cultivating your skills and collaborating with an agile, self-motivated team.</li> <li>Experience automating, operating, and troubleshooting production systems; maintaining the availability and performance of storage products</li> <li>Experience with Linux operating systems and familiarity with storage fundamentals</li> <li>Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and service-oriented architectures</li> <li>Familiarity with concurrency / parallelism models in a mode
