Domtar is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Wood Procurement Department at the Domtar Marlboro Mill in Bennettsville, SC where approximately 1000 tons of pulp and paper products are produced daily.  This position reports to the Wood Procurement Manager and is responsible for providing administrative support for the Wood Procurement Team.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Processing vendor invoices including verifying and/or obtaining payment approval
  • Matching purchase orders, receiving reports, and addressing exceptions
  • Performing detailed work for preliminary budget preparation
  • Preparing the billing and supporting documents
  • Generating, maintaining, and/or receiving customized reports/spreadsheets related to vendor payments, general ledger transactions, purchase orders, utility accounts and leases
  • Maintaining files for forest certifications, logger training, insurance, and outside sales

 

Required Qualifications / Professional Experience:

  • Associate degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or related field; or equivalent years of experience without a degree
  • Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience
  • General knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes
  • Strong computer skills (specifically in Word and Excel)
