We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Embedded Software Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD (BWI).

This position is primarily engaged in the development and fielding of Electronic Surveillance and/or Electronic Attack systems for advanced dedicated and multi-function RF subsystems. This includes design, development and integration of software solutions for EW systems. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate closely with systems, firmware and front-end software teams in a fast-moving, development environment. Candidates will work on software systems in all phases of the software development lifecycle, primarily in C/C++. 

Basic Qualifications for Principal Engineer Embedded Software:  

Bachelor’s Degree with X years of experience, master’s degree with X years of experience, Ph.D. with X years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • A current/active DoD Secret clearance.

  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.

  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in the following areas:

    • C and C++

    • Object Oriented programming.

    • All areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing

    • Integrating low-level firmware and software in complex real-time multi-threaded embedded applications

    • Experience using Jira/Bitbucket/Git and the Agile software development process  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated history of development of EW software and successful team engagement 

  • Experience with TCP/IP and common network configurations

  • Experience with development of front-end software for multifunction RF systems

  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives, maintaining/supporting integrated models in a live environment

  • Familiarity with Linux kernel driver development/modifications

  • Familiarity with VHDL/Verilog/FPGA

  • Familiarity with Xilinx tools (Vitis, Vivado)

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Atlassian tools

  • Familiarity with Static Analysis and Unit Testing
