The successful candidate will be the supply chain focal for the Mechanical Engine Systems (MES) Large Military Engines (LME) program area in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. As such they will implement the supply chain strategy for the site and be the conduit into supply chain for other functions. They will assess historical trends and analyze the current environment, as well as develop and stay connected to a broad network across P&C to quickly receive and assimilate recent developments to anticipate, mitigate, and prevent supply chain risks. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, engineering, quality, and value stream across Power & Controls to identify root cause of supply chain issues and execute both short- and long-term solutions.
This role will also execute the supply chain strategy and operational goals tied to site supply chain performance and future growth, as well as develop and implement new processes, standards and operational plans to support the strategy. The candidate will be expected to coordinate regularly with the various supply chain groups such as procurement and supplier development to obtain the latest parts status, root cause, and path forward, and be able to convey succinct updates to operations and value stream stakeholders daily.
This is an individual contributor role.

The position supports work that covers a variety of shifts in a 24-hour/seven-day schedule, as such, there may be a need to support work on occasional nights and / or weekends.
What You Will Do
- Comprehension of the site’s key products, critical parts, barriers to delivery, historical challenges and trends, internal and external factors impacting supply chain (planning methodologies, customer restrictions, industrial and global economic impacts), key customer care-abouts relative to supply chain, etc, in order to be regarded as the supply chain focal point
- Manage multiple concurrent supply chain critical issues, work with relevant parties to prioritize, determine root cause, devise solutions, execute, and mitigate impact; ensure stakeholders are kept informed of key developments
- Employ change management practices to optimize processes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Execute and refine a robust site supply chain strategy with an aim to improve the site supply chain performance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to evaluate supplier processes and develop improvement opportunities in alignment with organizational goals and participate in occasional supplier visits
- Develop, analyze, and utilize appropriate metrics to measure and improve the site’s supply chain performance
- Support of monthly sales & operations planning
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
