Clinical Adjunct Faculty - Surgical Technology Program

Herzing University has an opportunity for you to share your experience and to engage and support our student population as Adjunct (part-time) Faculty within the Surgical Technology Program in the Dallas area by instructing Clinicals.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a related discipline, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency
- Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
- At least 3 years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology (or a combination of both) within the past 5 years
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills necessary to maintain positive, professional interactions with students, alumni, faculty, and employer partners.
- Networking within the area to secure clinical sites and slots
Preferred:

Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively to individuals and groups

Demonstrates knowledge of programmatic accreditation and regulatory standards established by CAAHEP for Surgical Technology programs
Adjunct Faculty are eligible to participate in the Herzing 401(k) plan with a generous company match and our excellent education assistance programs! Compensation for surgical technology adjunct is $700 per didactic credit, $60 per hour for on-ground lab hours, and $700 per clinical credit plus mileage.
