JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a part-time Research Assistant for the Sinha Lab, which is located in the Penn State Health Cancer Institute. This is a 20-hour per week position for 26 weeks.

The successful candidate must be able to assist in preparing cell culture media, western blotting procedure, preparing SDS-PAGE gels, reading absorbance in spectrophotometer, handling animal tissues, and organizing samples in the freezer.

The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:  

  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check  
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
