JOB SUMMARY:

Under the leadership of the Director of the SLU IC CAE, provides advising support and guidance for SLU’s Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence, located within the School for Professional Studies.  This includes individual leadership meetings, planning student events, formal/informal recruitment and intake, and communication with stakeholders and constituents.

This role is full-time approximately 32 hours per week.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develops and distributes a monthly newsletter to students in the IC CAE program outlining events, internships, and announcements from the IC CAE Director.

  • Maintains and creates program enrollment forms, and other records.

  • Maintains and updates the program website and coordinates social media.

  • Provides support to special events including Retreats, campus speakers, special workshops, leadership-in-action experiences, and intentional programs facilitated as part of the on-campus or virtual IC CAE Program.

  • Assists with greater departmental programming efforts and initiatives for the campus community including but not limited to , student trainings, faculty functions, trainings, and events.

  • Establishes ongoing collaborative relationships with partners in both academic and student development areas

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with students.  (Applicants with an Associate's Degree and 3 + years student support experience will also be considered).

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs

  • Sufficient knowledge and experience using social media

  • Must be a US Citizen

Remote/In-person Expectations

This position will require the individual to work primarily remotely, with the flexibility to work up to one day per week onsite in compliance with the requirements of the SLU Remote Staff Flexible Work Policy.  Occasional additional on-site work required to attend meetings or events.  Limited overnight travel may be required (up to one time per semester to attend a conference or meeting).

SPECIAL NOTE:  This is a fully grant-funded position. If funding ceases the position will end.
