Senior Textile Development Professional I- Engineered Performance Products
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for development activities for circular and warp knit technologies supporting the Engineered Performance Product (EPP) business. Development activities include developing new innovative products, facilitating projects to improve margins of existing products, and supporting manufacturing in the technical performance of existing products. Key markets supported by this role are building and construction, tape reinforcements, and industrial textiles. A key part of the role includes maintaining excellent relationships with customers and building relationships within industry with new customers to further enhance the growth pipeline. This role reports to the Director of Textile Development for EPP.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Development – Concept through Production Adoption for knit technologies
- Work with Marketing/Business on new development projects
- Work with Manufacturing on project execution
- Work with Existing/New Customers on development projects
- Production process and mechanical innovations to improve quality.
- Variable Cost Reduction Projects with manufacturing
- Customer Communication with new projects/ideas
- Identifying new opportunities to enhance the growth pipeline
- Developing relationships with key raw material suppliers to further enhance technical capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED
- BS Degree in Engineering, Technical Textile or comparable field
- Demonstrated Leadership Skills in Team Environment
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in Circular & Warp knit technologies or similar manufacturing
- Skilled in SAP & pipeline management
- Willingness to travel to key customer and trade shows
- Ability to collaborate both internally and externally, to shape ideas/concepts and communicate them successfully to build a robust
