Job Description
The Project Management Team Lead at North Star Imaging is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processes of building, delivering, and installing advanced X-ray and CT imaging systems for non-destructive testing. This position involves managing a team of project managers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful program execution in alignment with organizational goals.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers responsible for various NDT X-ray equipment programs.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Develop overarching program plans, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance to project managers on effective program planning and execution.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with cross-functional teams, customers, and external suppliers to ensure equipment contracts are delivered on time and within budget. Address escalated issues and ensure seamless coordination between teams to achieve contract goals.
- Responsible for designing and implementing processes that ensure a smooth transition from sales to contract delivery.
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product management to understand customer and market trends. Integrate insights into program planning and execution, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
Equipment Build, Installation, Documentation & Reporting:
- Oversee the evaluation of sales provided forecasts to ensure parts are ordered or in stock to ensure timely deliveries to the build of customer contracts. Will be in integral part of the ERP solution team.
- Collaborate with the team to address supplier-related challenges and optimize the supply chain.
- Work with Quality Manager to set and enforce rigorous quality standards for NDT X-ray equipment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.
- Review and guide the implementation of quality control processes throughout programs.
- Responsible for strategic guidance on logistics optimization, critical installations and other difficult delivery of equipment contracts.
- Support project managers in addressing complex technical challenges during equipment deployment.
- Responsible for accuracy of the contract order book (Contract Manager) and for delivering equipment revenue forecasts to the business.
- Analyze and review regular reports provided by project managers, offering strategic insights and guidance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Responsible for Identifying opportunities for process improvements in project management processes and operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance the overall performance of the project management team.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, project management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience in managing project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of NDT technologies, manufacturing processes, and installation procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
