The Manager, Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) is responsible for leading, training and directing supervisors, Team Leads and associates. Manages all warehouse and inventory control duties, planning and execution of shipping, transportation and receiving functions to meet or exceed customer commitments. This position is responsible for a broad range of duties including, but not limited to safety initiatives, departmental development, and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization. This role will promote a collaborative environment to ensure effective communication and interaction across departments to achieve business results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directly supervise and oversee Team Leads, Supervisors, Material Handlers, transport coordinator, sipping coordinator and other associates to ensure daily Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control and Material Handling demands are consistently met. May include a second and third shift if necessary.
• Execute the shipping schedule daily and the capacity plans, following the priorities and sequences for shipping assigning the required personnel; monitoring and reviewing performance indicators and resolving problems.
• Ensure material availability by managing inventory control programs, conducting cycle counts, identifying root causes of discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee and maintain comprehensive inventory control processes, including cycle counting and physical inventory audits, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ship products following the standard pack outs, without errors, to the correct address.
• Raise complaints with the carriers in case the product is damaged during transportation, provide feedback to global logistics about the performance of the carriers.
• Identify root cause and actions to customer complaints related to shipping.
• Identify the best transportation cost for the company.
• Removes capacity constraints throughout the processes under her/his responsibility.
• Communicates and collects shipping and logistics quotations, liaises with inside customer service and sales to manage customer orders.
• Supply materials requested by production to the assembly line.
• Sets standards for labor efficiency.
• Develops and reports metrics and manages them for daily improvement.
• Manage employee performance to establish expectations, monitor, and measure contributions and provide employee feedback, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
• Resolves and addresses personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
• Update, drive and improve SAP system usage. Help reconfigure systematic changes to help productivity.
• Provides information to the Director of Operations by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
• Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
• Enhance the safety culture to create a safe work environment by providing leadership in setting expectations for a safe work environment, by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Adhere to cGMP, ISO, QMS, OSHA and other pertinent regulations, directives, policies, and standards by ensuring documented training to process procedures.
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience necessary to be successful in this position.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving management. within a manufacturing company.
