We are seeking an experienced Senior Orthodontic Dental Assistant to lead by example and provide top-tier clinical support across 5+ orthodontic practices in Brooklyn and Queens. This is a key leadership role, where your expertise will directly impact treatment success, team development, and patient satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:

βœ” Provide expert chairside assistance for complex orthodontic procedures, including braces placement, archwire adjustments, aligner fittings, and appliance removals.
βœ” Mentor and train junior orthodontic assistants, ensuring best practices in orthodontic techniques, infection control, and patient care.
βœ” Take and process high-quality digital radiographs (X-rays), CBCT scans, and intraoral scans, utilizing advanced imaging technology.
βœ” Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions to ensure optimal orthodontic outcomes.
βœ” Oversee orthodontic instruments, sterilization protocols, and equipment maintenance, optimizing clinical efficiency.
βœ” Assist in the fabrication and adjustment of retainers, space maintainers, and other orthodontic appliances.
βœ” Collaborate with orthodontists, treatment coordinators, and front office staff to maintain seamless scheduling and patient flow.
βœ” Troubleshoot complex orthodontic cases and appliance issues, ensuring timely resolution and patient satisfaction.
βœ” Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, tracking treatment progress and appliance usage.
βœ” Stay updated on the latest advancements in clear aligner technology, digital workflows, and orthodontic innovations.

What We’re Looking For:

βœ” 5+ years of experience as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant in a high-volume practice.
βœ” Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) from an accredited program.
βœ” X-ray and CPR certification required.
βœ” Proficiency in digital imaging, CBCT scans, intraoral scanning, and orthodontic software.
βœ” Expertise in orthodontic procedures, including braces, aligners, retainers, and space maintainers.
βœ” Leadership experience, with a strong ability to mentor, train, and support junior team members.
βœ” Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.
βœ” Strong communication skills, with a patient-first approach.
βœ” Commitment to infection control, sterilization protocols, and HIPAA compliance.
