We are seeking an experienced Senior Orthodontic Dental Assistant to lead by example and provide top-tier clinical support across 5+ orthodontic practices in Brooklyn and Queens. This is a key leadership role, where your expertise will directly impact treatment success, team development, and patient satisfaction.

What Youβll Do:
β Provide expert chairside assistance for complex orthodontic procedures, including braces placement, archwire adjustments, aligner fittings, and appliance removals.
β Mentor and train junior orthodontic assistants, ensuring best practices in orthodontic techniques, infection control, and patient care.
β Take and process high-quality digital radiographs (X-rays), CBCT scans, and intraoral scans, utilizing advanced imaging technology.
β Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions to ensure optimal orthodontic outcomes.
β Oversee orthodontic instruments, sterilization protocols, and equipment maintenance, optimizing clinical efficiency.
β Assist in the fabrication and adjustment of retainers, space maintainers, and other orthodontic appliances.
β Collaborate with orthodontists, treatment coordinators, and front office staff to maintain seamless scheduling and patient flow.
β Troubleshoot complex orthodontic cases and appliance issues, ensuring timely resolution and patient satisfaction.
β Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, tracking treatment progress and appliance usage.
β Stay updated on the latest advancements in clear aligner technology, digital workflows, and orthodontic innovations.
What Weβre Looking For:
β 5+ years of experience as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant in a high-volume practice.
β Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) from an accredited program.
β X-ray and CPR certification required.
β Proficiency in digital imaging, CBCT scans, intraoral scanning, and orthodontic software.
β Expertise in orthodontic procedures, including braces, aligners, retainers, and space maintainers.
β Leadership experience, with a strong ability to mentor, train, and support junior team members.
β Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.
β Strong communication skills, with a patient-first approach.
β Commitment to infection control, sterilization protocols, and HIPAA compliance.
