Responsibilities

The Medical Technologist II develops and monitors test systems, and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED1. Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) ormedical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Graduate of aMilitary Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medicaltechnology) and certification as a Medical Lab Technician. Ability to implement andperform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards andregulations.2. Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test3. Applicants must have completed (or be eligible for) an appropriatecertification examinationa. Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERREDExperience in a Clinical Laboratory setting

Work Hours:

Mon - Fri: 3p - 1130p with rotating weekends
