The Opportunity
This position works out of our Pleasanton, CA location in the Heart Failure Division. In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
What You’ll Work On
Provides technical support relating to equipment utilized in the manufacturing areas by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment utilizing technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment
Works with benchtop test equipment which includes power supplies, electronic loads, Data Acquisition, digital multimeters, and other equipment.
Activities include setting-up, calibrating and operating machines and equipment, following production schedules and quality standards, monitoring production processes, troubleshooting production problems and working with engineers.
Maintains lab equipment, conducts preventative maintenance and calibrations of test equipment.
Performs test fixture builds which includes building cables, wire harnesses, electronic assemblies, and soldering.
Assists with Supplier Electronics Components / Complaints Investigations for PCBAs and other electronic assemblies.
Assists engineers with Validations and Qualifications including IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification).
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree or technical degree in Engineering/ Electronics
Minimum 2 years of related work experience

The base pay for this position is
$27.05 – $54.05/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
